The pleated mesh ensures that the insect screen can be operated very easily by means of a sliding movement. In addition, it gives a very modern look compared to standard fly screens.
✅ Can be placed in or on the frame
The insect screen can be mounted in the day, i.e. in the frame, or on the day, i.e. on the frame.
✅ Available in a diluted profile
The insect screen is supplied as standard in a 30 mm thick profile. When putting together your order, you can choose to order it in the 18 mm Slim variant. This can be useful if, for example, you want to place the insect screen in the frame and there is not enough depth for 30 mm. The profiles of the Slim variant are also somewhat narrower, namely 25 mm compared to 35 mm.
✅ Easy to assemble yourself
The insect screens are supplied as a kit that you can easily assemble and install yourself.
Measuring instruction
Placement: In the frame
Measure the clear daylight size within the window frames in width and height.
Measure in three different places in width and in three different places in height. If the frame is not the same width or height everywhere, take the smallest measurement of the width and height.
Enter these measurements. We then reduce the dimensions you entered with a margin of 3 mm so that the insect screen fits in the frame.
Placement: In the frame
When putting together the insect screen, indicate whether you want the insect screen with a profile depth of 30 mm or 18 mm. If there is at least 30 mm depth, you can opt for the Standard 30 mm variant. If there is at least 18 mm depth, you can choose the Slim 18 mm variant. If there is less than 18 mm depth, the insect screen must be placed on the frame.
Placement: On the frame
First measure the available space on the frame, see (B) and (C). The profiles of the insect screen are 35 mm wide for the Standard variant and 25 mm wide for the Slim variant. The intention is therefore that you have at least this available space on both (B) and (C). If this is present, the insect screen can be placed on the frame.
Measure the clear daylight width within the window frames/doorway, see (A).
Measure the width in three different places (i.e. top, middle and bottom). If the frame is not the same width everywhere, take the smallest measurement of the width.
Enter only the size of (A). We increase the size you entered by the width of the profiles:
Standard profile:
+70mm (2 x 35mm)
Smart profile:
+50mm (2 x 25mm)
Placement: On the frame
Then measure the available space on the frame at the top (E) and at the bottom (F). Here too you need at least 35 mm space for the Standard variant or 25 mm space for the Slim variant.
Now measure the clear opening height within the window frames/doorway, see (D).
Measure height at three different places (i.e. left, middle and right). If the frame is not the same height everywhere, take the smallest height measurement.
Enter only the size of (D). We increase the size you entered as follows:
Standard variant:
+70mm (2 x 35mm)
Slim variant:
+50mm (2 x 25mm)
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I easily measure my window or door myself?
Of course. Most of our customers measure their windows or doors themselves. We have drawn up very useful measuring instructions for this. Can't quite figure it out? Feel free to send us a Whatsapp or email with some photos of the windows or doors, so that we can assist you remotely with the measurements.
Can I install the insect screen myself?
Of course. Most of our customers do the installation themselves. This is quite easy to do. The insect screens are supplied in the form of a click system with which the profiles are clicked together. The insect screen can then be clicked or screwed into place within the frame, or screwed or secured to the frame with extra strong double-sided tape.
What are the dimensions of the profiles and the cassette?
The dimensions of the insect screens are as follows:
Standard 30mm variant:
-Profile depth: 30 mm
-Profile width/height: 35 mm
-Width cassette (profile width + door handle width): 8 cm
Slim 18mm variant:
-Profile depth: 18 mm
-Profile width/height: 25 mm
-Width cassette (profile width + door handle width): 7 cm
The width and depth of the profiles can also be found on the images or in the measuring instructions.
How do I install an insect screen on a window with a classic window stay?
If you have a classic window stay where the stay extends partly inwards, you can replace it with a telescopic window stay. You can buy a telescopic window stay for less than €10. This allows the insect screen to be mounted on the inside. For more information please feel free to contact us.
How do I take into account door handles/door handles that may be in the way?
With French doors or windows you do not have to take the door handle into account, because the door/window opens when you close the insect screen. However, do you have sliding doors with door handles that protrude too far forward? Then you can often place the insect screen on the frame. In such a situation, please contact us via the Whatsapp button at the bottom together with photos of the situation.
When is a water-repellent mesh recommended?
If the insect screen is placed on the outside of the house, or if the insect screen is likely to be exposed to rain, we recommend selecting the water-repellent mesh. This is a special mesh that retains virtually no water and therefore the mesh can last longer.
What is the manufacturer's warranty period?
We offer a 2-year warranty on our insect screens. Have problems arisen with the profile or the mesh through no fault of your own? In that case, we will repair the insect screen. If repair is not possible, we will replace it with a new insect screen completely free of charge. Excluded is damage caused by pets, among others.
